The state of Telangana boasts of being a rich congregation of various premier educational institutions and research organisations like Indian School Business (ISB), University of Hyderabad(UoH), NALSAR, International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad), IIT Hyderabad, NIFT, Mahindra University, Defence Research and Development Organisation(DRDO), International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics(ICRISAT), Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research–Centre For Cellular And Molecular Biology (CSIR–CCMB) etc.

The Telangana state government has taken several initiatives to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the state, particularly among students. Some of the events undertaken to support student entrepreneurs in Telangana state and also established eco-system enablers like T-Hub, We-Hub, TSIC, RICH, Ag-Hub, J-Hub etc. of the Government and its Educational Institutions.

The state has consistently been at the forefront of enabling cooperative consultations between the academia, research institutions, and the startup ecosystem with the following objectives in sight

Support

academic institutions in setting up of Incubators and Entrepreneurship Cells, and promote a culture of entrepreneurship among students with the support of the State Startup Network.

Enhance

the student-led innovations and startups through Mentorship, Workshops, Entrepreneurship Development Programs, Hackathons, and other programmatic approaches.

Creation

of an entrepreneurial, highly skilled, and readily employable talent pool in academic institutions of the state with the help of the State Startup Network and Industry collaborations.

Facilitate

synergies between Startups and Academic Institutions/Research Organisations to scale the innovations.
